Balancing OT & NT and Praying Psalms Often
Why Balance OT & NT and Pray Psalms Often?

And a voice came out of the cloud, saying, “This is My beloved Son. Hear Him!”

Evening and morning and at noon I will pray, and cry aloud, And He shall hear my voice.

Cautions When Listening to the Bible
Deuteronomy 6:4-5 (ESV)
“Hear, O Israel: The LORD our God, the LORD is one. You shall love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might.
John 5:39-40 (NIV)
You study the Scriptures diligently because you think that in them you have eternal life. These are the very Scriptures that testify about me, yet you refuse to come to me to have life.
Malachi 1:6a (ESV)
“A son honors his father, and a servant his master. If then I am a father, where is my honor? And if I am a master, where is my fear? says the Lord of hosts to you.”
Matthew 7:26 (ESV)
And everyone who hears these words of mine and does not do them will be like a foolish man who built his house on the sand.
A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.
2 Timothy 2:2b-6 (NKJV)
Commit these to faithful men who will be able to teach others also. You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier. And also if anyone competes in athletics, he is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules. The hardworking farmer must be first to partake of the crops.
3 Steps for Successful Bible Listening (Reading)
Step 1. Belong to a PRS Group, Preferably with a Few Friends
Ecclesiastes 4:12 (NKJV) Though one may be overpowered by another, two can withstand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Luke 4:16 (NKJV) So He came to Nazareth, where He had been brought up. And as His custom was, He went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.
Step 2. Set a One to Two-Year Goal
Deuteronomy 8:3 (NKJV) So He humbled you, allowed you to hunger, and fed you with manna which you did not know nor did your fathers know, that He might make you know that man shall not live by bread alone; but man lives by every word that proceeds from the mouth of the LORD.
Matthew 4:4 (NKJV) But He answered and said, “It is written,‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouthof God.’ ”
Step 3. Track and Share It
Proverbs 27:17 (NIV) As iron sharpens iron, so one person sharpens another.
1 Timothy 4:15 (ESV) Practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress.
Comprehensive Judeo-Christian Learning
Proverbs 9:10 (NKJV & NIV)
The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
1 Timothy 4:13 (NIV)
Until I come, devote yourself to the public reading of Scripture, to preaching and to teaching.
